The Trade Union Movement of Xanthi Police requests a Passport Control Dept in Dimario

Due to the recent reopening of the Agios Konstantinos Border Station in Thermes of the Municipality of Myki and the future operation of the border crossing Dimarios Xanthi - Rudozem Bulgaria, the Xanthi Police Union, through its representatives, met with the Deputy Regional Governor  of Xanthi Mr. Kostas Kurtidis.

The purpose of the meeting, as reported by the Administration, was for the Deputy Regional Governor to convey to the political leadership that any staffing of Agios Konstantinos by the already existing police officers of the Prefecture of Xanthi, will bring significant problems to the policing of the place.

İn the press release is stated:

“From our side, we consider it necessary to create a new Passport Control Department in Dimario that will be housed in new buildings. In addition, we believe that this new Department should be in charge of the Agios Konstantinos Border Station due to the same object and to be staffed with extraordinary transfers from other Police Directorates, with colleagues from the relevant transfer tables in order of priority in application of the provided in article (17 par. 1 sub para. β΄ του Π.Δ. 100/2003.)

This view of ours was accepted by the Deputy Regional Governor and from his side, with his political interventions, he will strive for this purpose. As an Association whose institutional role is to safeguard the labor rights of its members.
