Signature campaign launched for the establishment of a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit

Due to the lack of a paediatric intensive care unit in the state hospitals of Kavala, Drama, Xanthi, Komotini and Alexandroupoli and the Faculty of Medicine Hospital of Alexandroupoli, some concerned citizens took action and started a petition.

With their statement on social media, it was reminded that due to the lack of a paediatric intensive care unit in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, many children are transferred to Thessaloniki for treatment, and from time to time, due to the difficulties in finding beds, children are in life-threatening danger.

In an open letter to the President of the Region, Christodoulos Topsidis, the concerned citizens demanded that he take action as President of the Region to fulfil their demands.
