Possible relocation of Kavala customs services under discussion

Regional authorities in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace have begun discussions on the possible relocation of services currently operating at the Kavala Customs Office, as part of broader efforts to improve urban planning and public administration efficiency.

The issue was examined during a technical meeting attended by regional officials, where participants explored options aimed at enhancing the functionality of the city's urban structure and improving service delivery. Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis stated that the objective is to contribute to the more effective operation of the city's urban environment.

While no final decision has been announced, the discussions reflect ongoing efforts by local and regional authorities to reassess the use of public infrastructure and administrative facilities in Kavala. The proposal remains under consideration, with further evaluations expected before any concrete measures are adopted.

Authorities have not yet provided a timeline for potential implementation, and additional consultations are anticipated before the project advances to a formal planning stage.
