On 9 January the special permanent committee on parliamentary ethics meets to give its opinion on whether to suspend state funding of the “ Spartiates” party.
On 9 January the special permanent committee on parliamentary ethics meets to give its opinion on whether to suspend state funding of the “ Spartiates” party.
In addition to the members of the committee, the chairman of the party Vassilios Stigas, has been invited to attend. If the committee is in favour of suspending the party's funding, the matter will be referred to the plenary session of the parliament, which is expected to take a final decision, probably on 13 January.
This was preceded by the adoption of a relevant legislative regulation by the Ministry of Interior on December 17, 2024.
