North Aegean Regional Presidency to honor businessman Rahmi Koç
The event will be held on Friday, October 18th, in Mytilene, Lesbos. Rahmi Koç, who has played a vital role in strengthening and advancing commercial, cultural, and tourism ties between the two nations, will be celebrated for his efforts.
According to a report by ERT, the event is scheduled to take place at the Regional Event Hall in Mytilene and will begin at 7:00 PM.
Additionally, on Saturday, October 19th, the Turkish-Greek Chamber of Commerce and the Lesbos Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host an open forum. Turkish and Greek businessmen will participate in discussions aimed at enhancing and expanding the trade volume between the two countries.
Rahmi Koç, who formerly served as Chairman of the Turkish-Greek Cooperation Council, was instrumental in increasing the trade volume between Türkiye and Greece from $300 million to $900 million during his tenure.
A frequent visitor to Lesbos, Rahmi Koç also owns a villa and has investments on the island.
