MyHealthApp launches on Thursday; Health Minister says it “Moves health forward”
The official launch of the MyHealthApp on Thursday marks the beginning of a new era in healthcare for citizens and “moves health forward,” Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis said.
The initiative, developed through close cooperation between the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Digital Governance, and the Hellenic Institute of Public Health, aims to provide immediate, easy, and secure access to personal health data. It places strong emphasis on prevention while simplifying citizens’ everyday interactions with health services.
Georgiadis highlighted the importance of the project, describing the Citizen Digital Health Assistant as a “Christmas gift” to Greek users and a key step toward a truly modern healthcare system focused on prevention.
“Our goal is to make people’s lives better and easier,” the minister said, urging citizens to download the MyHealthApp.
He explained that the MyHealthApp Digital Assistant brings together all health services on a single platform. Information stored in each citizen’s digital health file can be easily accessed and searched through the assistant, saving time and effort. The application has been designed to be user-friendly, using simple language and supporting voice commands.
“The philosophy is clear,” Georgiadis said. “Digital health applications are meant to improve quality of life, deliver better health services, save resources, and promote prevention by making access to information simpler than ever. This is a powerful multi-tool that moves health forward and brings order to the digital health file.”
