Greece offers €200 voucher support for households and businesses: Applications ongoing
Households and small businesses in Greece can now apply for a €200 digital voucher to support the installation of high-speed internet connections with a minimum speed of 250 Mbps. The initiative, funded by the European Union, is part of Greece’s national effort to boost digital infrastructure and connectivity.
Launched under the “Gigabit Connectivity Voucher Scheme,” the program aims to facilitate access to ultra-fast internet services, especially for users with limited or no existing broadband connections.
Applications can be submitted online via the official portal www.gigabit-voucher.gov.gr using Taxisnet credentials.
This initiative forms part of the “Greece 2.0” National Recovery and Resilience Plan and is co-financed by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU funding mechanism.
Who is eligible?
The voucher is available to individuals, freelancers, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Have an existing internet connection with a speed of no more than 100 Mbps, or no internet connection at all.
Reside in or operate a business from a building equipped with Fiber to the Home (FTTH) infrastructure.
Who is excluded?
Individuals or businesses that have previously benefited from the Super-Fast Broadband (SFBB) subsidy for the same line.
Enterprises classified as “in difficulty” under European Commission guidelines.
Key Deadlines:
- Individual users: Application deadline – Tuesday, September 30, 2025
- SMEs and freelancers: Application deadline – Monday, September 15, 2025
- Final day to redeem vouchers: Friday, October 31, 2025
How does the voucher work?
Each voucher is worth €200 and consists of an 8-digit code that can be redeemed exclusively through approved internet service providers.
The voucher can cover up to 50% of eligible expenses, including:
- Internet line installation
- Required equipment
- Horizontal cabling
- A portion of the monthly subscription fees for the first 24 months
VAT is included in the total cost reduction.
The program is expected to accelerate Greece’s digital transformation by enabling thousands of households and businesses to access high-speed internet under more affordable conditions.
