Applications open on August 7 for Greece's tourism voucher programme

Applications for Greece's “Tourism for All 2026–2027” programme will open on August 7, offering eligible citizens financial support ranging from €200 to €600 for holiday expenses, depending on their category and the period they choose to travel.

The programme will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will begin in the coming period and run until June 30, 2027, while the second phase is scheduled to start in early 2027 and continue until December 31, 2027.

No separate lottery will be held for the second phase, as beneficiaries will be selected from the list of applicants who were not drawn in the first phase.

The initiative places particular emphasis on supporting travel during the off-peak months between October and April, with 70% of the available budget allocated to these periods. The programme is also linked to the Ministry of Tourism’s broader campaign promoting “Mountainous Greece”, aiming to strengthen lesser-known mountain destinations and encourage more balanced tourism development across the country.

Income eligibility thresholds have been expanded under the new programme. The limits will increase, among other categories, from €19,000 to €21,000 for single applicants without children and from €31,000 to €33,000 for married couples without children. For larger families, the maximum income limits will rise significantly, reaching up to €58,000.

For the first time, people with disabilities of 67% or more, as well as families with children who have disabilities, will be eligible to participate regardless of income criteria.

The programme also introduces additional support for large families, providing an extra €50 subsidy for each child from the fourth child onwards. This marks a change from the 2025 programme, where the subsidy was based only on the beneficiary and did not increase according to the number of dependent family members.

The subsidy will continue to be provided exclusively through a digital prepaid card, using state digital platforms including gov.gr and vouchers.gov.gr. Applicants will also be able to submit requests through Citizen Service Centres (KEP), with additional assistance provided through a dedicated help desk.

Beneficiaries will be selected through an electronic lottery process.
