In the news, it was noted that the Greek navy signed a contract worth approximately 112 million euros with a German company on 31 March 2022 to supply torpedoes similar to the modern torpedoes owned by the Turkish navy.

Stating that the TCG Pirireis submarine, the first ship of its class (S-330), will soon join the Turkish navy, it was reported that the first batch of 8 torpedoes will be delivered to the Greek navy, which will supply 44 "SeaHake mod 4" heavy class torpedoes, also known as "DM2A4" under the contract, in December 2023 and the delivery is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
