European recognition for Dedeağaç FSRU project

The FSRU Dedeağaç LNG terminal has received European recognition for its strategic importance in strengthening energy security and diversification in Southeast Europe.
The floating storage and regasification unit, developed by Gastrade, has become a key element of regional energy infrastructure by providing an alternative LNG supply route and enhancing connectivity between Greece and neighbouring markets.
Located offshore Dedeağaç, the FSRU project is designed to support natural gas flows across the region and contribute to Europe’s efforts to diversify energy sources. The facility has been highlighted as a major infrastructure investment with wider European significance.
The project has been considered a strategic energy gateway for Southeast Europe, strengthening Greece’s role in regional energy cooperation and supply security.
