Farmersblockades in Western Macedonia were lifted on Friday afternoon, while disruptions continued at several major border crossings with Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

The mobilization at the Siatista barrier on the Egnatia Highway ended at 5:30 p.m., alongside the blockade at the Filota junction on the same motorway. Traffic is now flowing normally on the Egnatia Highway from Florina to Kozani and from Edessa to Kozani, as well as in the opposite direction.

The blockade at the Promachonas customs post on the Greek-Bulgarian border was also lifted late in the afternoon.

However, a 48-hour blockade remains in place at the Exochi customs on the Greek-Bulgarian border, as well as at the Evzones and Niki crossings on the Greek–North Macedonian border.

In Nevrokopi, in the northern prefecture of Drama, farmers and livestock breeders have been blocking trucks and other commercial vehicles since 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. The blockade, located about 500 metres from the Exochi customs post, is scheduled to end at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Passenger cars and tourist buses are being diverted via alternative routes.

At the Niki customs post, the 48-hour mobilization that began at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday remains ongoing, with all trucks, passenger vehicles and tourist buses barred from crossing.

At Evzones, the mobilization began at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and initially lasted for approximately six hours. From Friday through Monday, the blockade is scheduled to resume daily from 4:00 p.m. until late at night.
