Greece’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 8.6% in October 2025, down from 9.7% a year earlier and slightly lower than September’s revised 8.7%, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) reported on Tuesday.

Employment continued to rise, with 4,347,352 people working—an increase of 1% compared with October 2024 and 0.5% from the previous month.
The number of unemployed reached 411,369, marking a year-on-year drop of 10.9%, though showing a marginal monthly increase of 1,000 people.
Those outside the labour force fell to 2,982,942, down 0.8% both compared with October 2024 and September 2025, indicating a continued shift of people into the labour market.
