Turnover of Greek businesses up 1.3% in Q2 2025, ELSTAT reports
The total turnover of businesses in Greece recorded a 1.3% increase in the second quarter of 2025, according to data published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
Business turnover reached €123.78 billion in Q2 2025, compared to €122.21 billion in the same quarter of 2024.
The largest increase was observed in the Mining and Quarrying sector, which rose by 15.0% year-on-year. In contrast, the Manufacturing sector registered a decline of 0.9% over the same period.
For businesses required to maintain double-entry accounting books — for which monthly data are available — turnover in June 2025 reached €36.52 billion. This marks a 6.3% rise compared to June 2024, when turnover stood at €34.35 billion.
Among these, the Construction sector showed the strongest growth, with turnover increasing by 23.6% in June 2025 compared to the same month last year. The lowest growth was recorded in the Human Health and Social Work sector, with a marginal rise of just 0.1%.
