Inflation in Greece at 2.7 pct in April, Eurostat estimates

The annual inflation rate in the eurozone is expected to be 2.2% in April 2025, unchanged from March, according to a preliminary estimate released today by Eurostat.
Examining the main components of eurozone inflation, services are projected to have the highest annual rate in April (3.9%, compared to 3.5% in March), followed by food, alcohol, and tobacco (3.0%, compared to 2.9% in March), non-energy industrial goods (0.6%, stable compared to March), and energy (-3.5%, compared to -1.0% in March).
In Greece, inflation is estimated to decrease to 2.7% in April from 3.1% in March.
In April, the highest inflation rates in the eurozone were recorded in Estonia (4.4%), Latvia and the Netherlands (both at 4.1%), Slovakia and Croatia (both at 3.9%), and Lithuania (3.6%).
The lowest inflation rates in the eurozone in April were observed in France (0.8%), Cyprus (1.3%), Luxembourg (1.7%), and Finland (2%).
