Qarabag martyrs commemorated
The "Qarabag War Martyrs' Night" was hosted by the Istanbul Sancaktepe Municipality.
While the Honorary Chairman of the Friendship Equality Peace Party Işık Sadık Ahmet served as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee in the realization of the event, together with the Director of the National Defense University Fatih War History Institute Prof. Dr. Bünyamin Kocaoğlu, they took a close interest in the families of martyrs who came to Turkey from Azerbaijan.
Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kıran, Friendship Equality and Peace (DEB) Party Chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu, Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association Bursa Branch Women's Branch members, Social Assistance Foundation President Venera Askerova, Sancaktepe Mayor Şeyma Dogger joined.

Saying that he commemorated the Qarabag martyrs and all martyrs with mercy, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kıran said, “We start our work by praying that my Lord will grant us a death and martyrdom just like our martyrs. So never lower your head. You will always carry the pride of raising children who make history.
Your children, siblings, family, relatives wrote such a great history that that history did not only change the fate of Azerbaijan, but only ensure that Azerbaijan regained its lands.

“A COUNTRY WITHOUT A MARTYR DOES NOT HAVE A STORY”
Stating that 44 families of martyrs took part in the program in honor of the victory won in 44 days, Sancaktepe Mayor Şeyma Döğücü said, “Today, I am very proud to see our 44 families of martyrs here on behalf of those 44 days. My heart was pleasant. I felt your pain in your eyes and also in my heart. But I also felt that honor and stance in you. God bless you.
A country without a martyr has no story, no history, no future.” she spoke.
“I FEEL ALL THE PAIN OF THESE MOTHERS IN MY VEINS”
Işık Sadık Ahmet, Honorary Chairman of the Friendship Equality Peace Party (DEB), said, “I feel all the pain of these mothers in my veins. My heart also melts when I see you.
I feel myself melting. We say that God should not let anyone experience the pain of children, but your children are martyrs and martyrs who fell for the sake of the country.
They were not treacherously killed.
Be proud. How happy is the one who says he is a Turk, how happy is the Republic of Turkey and Azerbaijan.” she said.

In her speech, DEB Party Chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu said, “We, as the Western Turkish society, know very well how painful it is to be martyred, but also how honorable it is. For the holy cause of the Western Thrace Turks, for their Turkishness, our party's founder and leader, Dr. Sadik Ahmet sacrificed his life.
We are so happy that we are the children of a glorious leader. I commemorate all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the free fluctuation of our crescent and star flag with mercy and gratitude.” She concloude her speeacs by saying “I kiss the hands of you precious families of martyrs.”
Social Assistance Foundation President Venera Askerova said: “If the soil is kneaded with water, mud becomes a homeland if it is kneaded with blood. Our martyrs made Azerbaijan a homeland.
