Yassıköy Gastronomy Festival to take place on October 4
The second Yassıköy Gastronomy Festival will be held on Sunday, October 4, bringing together traditional local cuisine, music and entertainment in the town.
Organised by the Yassıköy Municipality, the festival will begin at noon at the New Yassıköy Municipal Building.
The event aims to preserve the region's culinary traditions and introduce local flavours to a wider audience through a programme of food, music, dance and other activities.
TRADITIONAL DESSERT COMPETITION
One of the highlights of the programme will be the second Traditional Dessert Competition, where participants will compete with locally prepared desserts. Visitors will also have the opportunity to sample a variety of traditional flavours.
Six coffee businesses operating in the area will offer free coffee throughout the festival, while two local pastry shops will provide complimentary desserts to visitors.
Local associations will also prepare traditional desserts specific to the region and distribute them free of charge to festivalgoers.
FREE ACTIVITIES AND REFRESHMENTS
The festival will feature music, dancing, traditional food and a range of activities, with all events and refreshments provided free of charge, according to the organisers.
