Xanthi Turkish Union Culture and Art Festival has started
The first Xanthi Culture and Art Festival, organized by the Xanthi Turkish Union, was held in Kırköy.
The event, which was organized with the Kırköy Culture Education Association Ova Women's Branch, was held on Friday, 17 June 2022.
A panel on “TYPES OF ADDICTION AND ADDICTIVE BEHAVIORS” was held within the framework of the “Xanthi Culture and Art Festivals” held in Kırköy.
In the panel moderated by Fatma Saliemin, Head of Kırköy Culture Education Association Plain Women's Branch, Emel Hacışerif, one of the experts from the Addiction Treatment Center (KETHEA) and Selin Sebahattinoğlu, one of the religious officials of the Xanthi Mufti, made presentations. The panel was concluded with the question-answer session.
After the panel, the year-end exhibition opening ceremony of the Kırköy, Göynüklü, Beyköy and Yenice cut-sewing, embroidery and handicrafts courses operating under the Xanthi Turkish Union was held.
The representatives of the institutions visited the exhibition and received information from the course teachers about the works and products in the exhibition.
In the exhibition, besides the works produced for a year, clothes with a history ranging from 70 to 120 years within the course of the courses were also exhibited.
After the speeches, gifts were presented to the protocol members by the course teachers.
Xanthi Turkish Union Music groups gave a mini concert. In addition, the performances of the junior, senior and adult folk dance teams working under the umbrella of the Xanthi Turkish Union were highly appreciated by the audience.
Finally, Xanthi Turkish Union Turkish Classical Music Choir gave a concert to the audience.
ITB Youth Branch members also contributed to the first event of the "Xanthi Culture - Art Festival" held in Kırköy.
Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu presented a plaque of appreciation to Fatma Saliemin, Head of Kırköy Cultural Education Association Plain Women's Branch, and ITB Deputy chairman Sevil Şerifoğlu and Topiros Deputy Mayor Mümin Halitoğlu.
Turkey's Consul in Komotini Neslihan Altay, Xanthi Deputies Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, on behalf of the elected mufti of Xanthi general secretary Mustafa Trampa, Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association President Hüseyin Baltacı, Topiros Deputy Mayor Mümin Halitoğlu, Topiros Municipality Council member Salihoğlu, FEP Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Şargo, Xanthi Ova Brotherhood Association President Ömer Muzafferoğlu, BAKEŞ Deputy Vice- General Manager Kerem Abdurahimoğlu and many guests attended.
