Music schools music festival starts today
The music schools music festival, organized for the 8th time this year in Xanthi, starts today. Many schools from Greece and abroad are participating in the music festival, which will take place between 3-7 May.
The music festival, also known as "Manos Hatzidakis music festival", a legendary musician from Xanthi, is taking its first steps towards becoming an international music festival this year.
Music schools from Spain, Italy, Romania and Türkiye are also participating in the music festival this year.
In his statement about the festival, Mayor of Xanthi Manolis Çepelis stated that as a municipality, they are working to make this event, which contributes to the branding of Xanthi, to grow and take on an international dimension.
Mayor Çepelis stated that he believes the teams that will participate from abroad for the first time this year will add a different color to the music festival, and said that music makes a great contribution to the consolidation of friendship, peace, tranquillity and friendships.
Mayor Çepelis thanked everyone who took part in and contributed to the efforts for the Xanthi music festival to gain an international dimension and invited all Xanthi music lovers to the music feast.
Music schools, orchestras and choirs that will participate in the festival from many provinces of Greece will give concerts in various areas of Xanthi.
TURKISH and ROMANIANS TOGETHER ON STAGE ON MAY 4
The team, which will participate in the Xanthi music schools music festival for the first time from Türkiye this year, will meet with music lovers from Xanthi on Thursday, May 4th.
Concerts of “Özdemir Sabancı Emirgan Anatolian High School” from Türkiye and “Scoala Gimaziala Ucea De Jos” from Romania, which participated in the festival, will start at 18:30 in Xanthi city square on Thursday, May 4th.
