Xanthi Turkish Union completed its trip to Ankara
The delegation of 95 people, consisting of ITB executives, course teachers and students, women's branch executives and members, headed by ITB President Ozan Ahmetoğlu, visited historical and touristic places in Ankara.
The Xanthi Turkish Union team first visited the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) on Friday, 16 February. The delegation visited the exhibition on "Balkans" in Dr. Sadık Ahmet Hall at YTB and was informed about the institution. President of Xanthi Turkish Union Ozan Ahmetoğlu and the executives of the association met with YTB President Abdullah Eren. During the meeting, mutual gifts were presented.
After that, the delegation of ITB executives visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. ITB President Ahmetoğlu and the executives of the association met with the Director General of the Ministry, Ambassador Burak Özügergin and had a meeting for a while.
The İTB delegation then visited Ankara Maturation Institute, which has been working in the field of handicrafts and traditional arts for many years. The delegation had the opportunity to see the works carried out by the Institute closely. İTB delegation received information about the activities carried out by Ahsen Hıdıroğlu, Director of the Institute of Maturation, and the institute officials.
Xanthi Turkish Union (ITB) visited Anıtkabir on Saturday 17 February within the framework of the Cultural Trip to Ankara. The ITB delegation visited Anıtkabir accompanied by a guide. At Anıtkabir, the delegation stood in silence in the spiritual presence of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye. Ozan Ahmetoğlu, the president of the association, signed the Anıtkabir electronic memorial book.
The ITB delegation then visited the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, the First Parliament, the museum and then had a city tour.
The cultural trip of Xanthi Turkish Union to Ankara was completed on Sunday 18 February with a visit to Hacı Bayram Veli Mosque and Ankara Castle.
The ITB delegation returned to Xanthi from Ankara at the same day.
