Employees protest against the bill on the mergers of Municipal Water and Sewerage Companies
Employees of Municipal Water and Sewerage Companies (DEYA) are staging daily work stoppages from Monday, February 24, to Thursday, February 27, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. This decision was made by their federation, and workers from DEYA Komotini are also participating in the protests.
The employees are opposing a government bill that has been put up for consultation, which proposes the merger of DEYA companies across the country.
The Labor Center of Komotini has also expressed its support for the employees’ struggle through an official statement.
