Turkish Consul General Ünal receives delegation from Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform
Turkish Consul General in Gümülcine, Aykut Ünal, received a delegation from the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform, led by its newly appointed spokesperson Sevgi Sezai, during a meeting held at the Consulate General on June 3.
The delegation, headed by Sezai, who also serves as Chairwoman of the Women's Branch of the İskeçe Turkish Union, met with Consul General Ünal to discuss the platform’s ongoing activities and future initiatives.
Following the visit, the Turkish Consulate General in Gümülcine shared a statement on social media, saying: “We met with the new spokesperson and members of the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform.”
In a separate statement, the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform noted: “As the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform, we paid a visit to Mr. Aykut Ünal, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Komotini.”
According to both sides, the meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere and included an exchange of views on the platform’s current projects and plans for the coming period.
