The last hatim ceremony of this year held in Ilıca
The ceremony of the “Ilıca Yukarı Mahalle” Qur'an Course, which continues its activities under the roof of the Xanthi Mufti Office, took place on Sunday, July 2, 2023.
The hatim ceremony in Ilıca (Thermes) was the last calligraphy ceremony of Xanthi region this year.
Türkiye's Consul General to Komotini Aykut Ünal and Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa also attended the calligraphy ceremony of “Ilıca Yukarı Mahalle” Quran Course, which was held with great enthusiasm.
In the hatim ceremony, the students' recitation of the Qur'an, the poems and hymns they recited were greatly appreciated.
Xathi Mufti Trampa prayed after the hatim ceremony and congratulated the religious officials, students and families of Thermes Northern Neighborhood of Municipality of Miki and wished them success.
The Hatim ceremony was attended by Türkiye's Consul General to Komotini Aykut Ünal and Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, Xanthi Deputies Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, the Mayor of Mustafçova (Miki) Rıdvan Delihüseyin, the head of the main opposition Cemil Kabza, the leaders of the opposition Ahmet Kurt, Önder Meçoğlu, and the former Mayor Mücahit Dükkancı.
Hüseyin Baltacı, President of Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association, President of Xanthi Turkish Union Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Deputy Mufti from “Ilıca Yukarı Mahalle” Ahmet Hraloğlu, Religious Officials, prominent representatives of the Minority and a large community of people attended.
It was observed that there were also participants from Komotini and Bulgaria to the Hatim ceremony.
In the hatim ceremony held in Ilıca village, traditional meat “pilav and ayran” served to the guests after the noon prayer.
After the ceremony, the guests had the opportunity to come together and chat in the Ilıca library.
With the Hatim Ceremony held in Ilıca, the hatim programs in Xanthi came to an end.
INVITATION TO HAFIZLIK CEREMONY
On the other hand, it was stated that a memory ceremony will be held in the same village on Sunday (July 9) next week.
For the two brothers who have completed their hafiz training, their family will hold a hafiz ceremony in the village mosque. Those who will participate in the ceremony, which will be organized with the contribution of all the village people, will also be offered a meal after the noon prayer.
It was stated that all members of the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish minority were invited to the memory ceremony, in which the teachers of the courses they completed their hafiz training are expected also to attend.
