The bridge on Menetler stream about to be completed

The construction of the bridge on the Menetler stream, also called Kocaçay (Lissos) by the people, which connects the two regions of Kozlukebir Municipality, Sirkeli and Kozlukebir, has reached the final stage.

The bridge construction, which is built on 6 columns in total and planned to be 153 metres long, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

According to the information obtained from the company officials, it was stated that the assembly works of the last connection beams continued in the bridge construction.

As it will be remembered, the State Presidency of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace had allocated a budget of 5 million euros for the construction of the bridge.

THE REGION WAS EXPERIENCING GREAT DIFFICULTIES

Kocaçay was posing a great danger for the people of the region, especially in rainy weather, as it was on the road frequently used by the people of the region. Especially after the heavy rains in recent years, the stream overflowed, causing long-term disruptions in transportation.
