The restoration project, titled “Restoration of the Kuruçay River Bridge,” has been completed by the Rhodope Regional Unit of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region.

An official handover ceremony will be held on Wednesday, August 12, at 10 a.m., with Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis in attendance.

Following the brief ceremony, the bridge will be reopened to vehicle traffic.

The Kuruçay Bridge was destroyed approximately nine years ago, disrupting transportation in the surrounding area. Its reconstruction is expected to restore the local road connection and improve access for residents and motorists.
