Tears flow at the funeral of Yüksel Veli from Çepelli
Yüksel Veli, a 19-year-old young man from Çepelli, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on the road between Büyük Müsellim and Susurköy, part of Yassıköy Municipality. After the accident, he was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. His funeral in Çepelli was a deeply emotional event, with countless mourners gathering to bid farewell to the young life lost too soon.
The funeral ceremony was held at his home following the noon prayer, attended by his family, relatives, neighbors, and young people from surrounding villages. After seeking forgiveness from family members, his body was taken to the Çepelli Cemetery, where the funeral prayer was performed, and he was laid to rest.
Hundreds of people, including political figures such as Çiğdem Asafoğlu (Leader of the Friendship Equality Peace Party), Özgür Ferhat (Member of Parliament for the New Left Party), and local leaders, attended the ceremony. The funeral was particularly poignant for Yüksel's family, close friends, and the young people from the village, with tears and sorrow filling the air.
