The land of the SEVATH tomato paste factory, which had been idle for years, was sold through a public auction. SEVATH was transferred to a new owner for 1,000,001 euros during the auction held on February 6.

SEVATH was established in 1975 in İskeçe for fruit and vegetable processing, but it went bankrupt in 2009. The auction had been canceled three times previously due to a lack of buyers, but the starting price for this sale was set at 1 million euros.

The total area of the land is approximately 195,000 square meters, located about 8 kilometers outside of İskeçe, in the Misvaklı area, which is part of the Bulustra Municipality. It has old industrial facilities built between 1976-1985.

According to local news, the new owner of SEVATH is Saranti Brothers, who previously invested in the Rodopi Dairy Factory. While the exact plans for the SEVATH land are still uncertain, there are speculations in the media about potential projects such as a shopping mall, solar energy plants, or even a hotel.
