JTI Factory in Xanthi achieves ISO certifications for Health, Safety, Environment, and Energy Management

The JTI factory in Xanthi (SEKAP), a subsidiary of Japan Tobacco International (JTI), has successfully completed external certification audits by DNV, receiving ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), and ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management) certifications. These certifications affirm the factory’s commitment to continuous improvement, adherence to international standards in Health and Safety, and reducing its environmental footprint.
Cleber Da Rodda, the head of JTI’s Xanthi facility, expressed pride in the achievement, emphasizing that this success reflects the dedication and hard work of the entire team in enhancing factory standards. He affirmed that JTI remains focused on improving Environmental and Energy Performance and Health and Safety Management at the Xanthi plant, contributing to the JT Group’s global sustainability goals.
