Rodop MP Özgür Ferhat meets with “Spartakos” agricultural association
Rodop MP Özgür Ferhat of the New Left Party met with members of the “Spartakos” Agricultural Association in Gümülcine (Komotini), representing the local agricultural action block coordination.
During the meeting, participants discussed recent developments in the agricultural sector in depth. Plans for the upcoming establishment of a cross-party parliamentary commission to more effectively monitor primary sector issues at the legislative level were also raised.
The discussion reviewed the outcomes of the recent meeting with the Prime Minister, focusing on the next steps to be taken and necessary institutional interventions. Priorities requiring attention at both institutional and parliamentary levels were highlighted as key points of the meeting.
Local agricultural challenges directly affecting the Rodopi region were examined in detail, and concrete solutions were proposed. Participants reached a consensus on pursuing joint initiatives to more effectively communicate these issues to the public and the relevant authorities.
MP Özgür Ferhat pledged to take political action both regionally and nationally based on the data and assessments provided by farmer representatives.
