Preparation for the Old Town Festival in Xanthi
Xanthi is preparing for the Old Town Festival after two years. The meeting of the organizing committee of the Old Town Festival in Xanthi took place on Friday afternoon.
The Organizing Committee of the cultural associations met again after two years, in order to launch the necessary preparation for this year's organization of the Old Town Festival, which this year, based on today's data, will be carried out normally.
On the part of the municipality, the Mayor of Xanthi, Manolis Tsepelis, the President of the Culture Center, Ilias Askaridis, the Deputy Mayor of Finance, Manolis Fanourakis, and the General Secretary of the Municipality, Sofia Psoma, were present.
Representatives of Associations also attended with the aim of jointly submitting proposals for the organization.
In this context, it was clarified by Mr. Tspelis and Mr. Askaridis that according to the data they have, the celebrations will take place normally, without any restrictions due to pandemic.
Mayor Tsepelis stated: "We will get the people out of the house, the municipality and volunteers; we must all come together, cooperate and work together. I would like to emphasize that we must all aim together how we will project ourselves and what kind of people we want to bring. We need to look at the design of the display and the design in particular. We should think how to drag people to every corner of the old city. I will be near you! We are next to you.”
After concrete dialogue and exchanging of opinions and proposals, both sides agreed to work in cooperation. The Old Town Fest program is being formulated and is expected to be made public in the next period.
