Özgür Ferhat meets with ELGA director Pandazis

Rhodope New Left Party MP Özgür Ferhat met with the Director of the Agricultural Compensation Organization (ELGA), Dimitris Pandazis, yesterday (August 14).
In a written statement regarding the meeting, MP Ferhat said:
"During our meeting this morning with Mr. Pandazis, the General Director of ELGA, we addressed the concerns raised by many farmers and the Thrace Agricultural Cooperative about the overwhelming number of affected farmers and the large area of land that needs to be reported. To ensure that no eligible farmer is deprived of compensation due to this situation, we requested an extension for the damage reporting period. ELGA has granted this request.
The deadline for damage reporting has been extended. The new deadline for our region is Friday, August 23. We will continue to work for the benefit of our people and farmers."
