Özgür Ferhat, MP for Rhodope with the New Left, met with former Turkish Minister for EU Affairs and Ambassador Egemen Bağış during the 5th Selanik Metropolitan Summit, organized by The Economist.
Özgür Ferhat, MP for Rhodope with the New Left, met with former Turkish Minister for EU Affairs and Ambassador Egemen Bağış during the 5th Thessaloniki Metropolitan Summit, organized by The Economist.
The two held a wide-ranging discussion on the positive impact of politics and diplomacy in the region, as well as on economic cooperation and minority rights. Both emphasized the importance of regional collaboration and mutual dialogue as a means of developing solutions between states.
Ferhat and Bağış also underlined that such an approach could contribute to strengthening peaceful relations between Greece and Turkey and potentially open the door to a new era of cooperation.
