Özgür Ferhat: I owe this unique victory to my people
Özgür Ferhat, who is a parliamentary candidate from the SYRIZA Party, was not only elected as a deputy with the votes he received, but also enabled his party to come first in the Rhodope province.
While the ruling New Democracy Party won the elections in all states and cities across the country, the main opposition SYRIZA Party managed to take the first place only in the Rhodope province.
The most important reason why SYRIZA came first in the Rhodope province was that the members of the Turkish minority strongly supported Özgür Ferhat, one of the parliamentary candidates, and elected him with thousands of votes.
Özgür Ferhat surpassed all party candidates with 12,208 votes. He helped SYRIZA Party win the Rhodope province.
MP Ferhat wrote his own history with the strong support he received from the public.
The new political face of the Rhodope province, young deputy Özgür Ferhat, thanked the Turkish minority people and all the voters who trusted him and helped him.
Ferhat stated the following in his statement:
"I owe it to you, my esteemed people that I signed a historical record with 12.000+ votes as a result of the interest and support of our nation in the 21 May elections and was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Rhodope Province.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who believed in me, trusted me, created an overwhelming power with their votes and helped us start a new political era in our region. This great success is your work, you are the architect of this unique victory. THANKS."
