Highlighting the specific risks in Çepelli, Bulatköy, Gebecili, and Eşekçili villages, Ferhat underlined the proximity of vegetation to residential areas, which significantly increases the risk of fire spread.
In his inquiry, Ferhat posed the following questions to the minister:
- Does the ministry have an urgent action plan to establish firebreaks in these settlements in Rodop province?
- Is the ministry planning to grant permissions to local residents to clear vegetation around their homes to mitigate fire risks?
Ferhat’s call for action stresses the need for immediate preventive measures to protect both lives and properties in the region from potential future wildfires.
