Okan Haliloğlu's responsibilities expanded in Maronya Municipality

By the decision of Maronya Mayor Apostolos Ioannou, Deputy Mayor Okan Haliloğlu will continue his position throughout 2025 with expanded responsibilities.

Initially elected to the municipal council in 2024 as part of the Independent Citizens' Society list led by Ioannou, Haliloğlu became Deputy Mayor the same year. Recognized for his successful performance, his term has been extended until January 26, 2026, with increased authority.

Okan Haliloğlu’s Responsibilities for 2025
Municipal Services Management: Ensuring the efficient operation of municipal services in the Maronya Local Unit and overseeing staff performance.
Equipment and Materials Oversight: Managing and maintaining the technical equipment and materials in the Maronya Local Unit.
Project Coordination: Monitoring and coordinating projects, technical operations, greening efforts, and agricultural roadworks.
Animal Welfare: Supervising issues related to stray animals.
Acting Civil Registry Officer: Assuming the role of the Civil Registry Officer when necessary.
Signing Authority
Haliloğlu will have signing authority in the following areas:

Civil marriage licenses.
Certification of citizens’ signatures.
Verification of original documents and official copies.
Approval of documents issued by municipal services.
Decisions related to commissions and information systems for stray animals, businesses, and marketplaces.
In his absence, Deputy Mayor Dongas Georgios will take over his responsibilities.
