Fire broke out in Ircan village, two houses were damaged

A house fire broke out on Wednesday, February 8, in the village of Ircan, which is affiliated to the Municipality of Şapçı - Maronya.
The fire, which broke out in the house where five people lived, grew in a short time and spread to the other house adjacent to it.
While the villagers were struggling with their own means to extinguish the fire, fire trucks, and teams were dispatched from the Komotini Fire Department and the Şapçı Fire Department.
Firefighters who went to İrcan immediately began to intervene in the burning houses.
The fire was brought under control after great efforts. While the residents of the houses were not harmed in the fire, great damage occurred to the house.
Deputy Mayor of Şapçı - Maronya, Mustafa Molla Ahmet, who is from the village of İrcan, who gave information about the fire to MILLET, said, "We had a sad event last night. A fire broke out in a house in our village. The fire, which grew with the effect of the wind, spread to the side and unfortunately made the houses unusable. As the villagers, they intervened with fire tubes in the shops and workplaces for the extinguishing works. The firefighters who came to the village immediately started to intervene. As a result of the efforts, the fire was extinguished, but unfortunately the houses were badly damaged. The only consolation for us in this sad event is that our villagers were not harmed. Get well soon. I send my best wishes."
