Mustafa Şentop and Cevat Akşit visit İskeçe Mufti’s Office
Former Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Speaker Mustafa Şentop and Islamic scholar Cevat Akşit visited the İskeçe Mufti’s Office during their program in Western Thrace.
Former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop, Islamic scholar Prof. Dr. Cevat Akşit, Dr. Mehmet Sıddık Akşit and their accompanying delegation visited the İskeçe Mufti’s Office as part of their program in Western Thrace.
The delegation began its İskeçe program by attending the noon prayer at Çınar Mosque, where they were accompanied by Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of İskeçe and President of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace.
Following the prayer, Prof. Dr. Cevat Akşit delivered a religious address to the congregation. He spoke about Islamic ethics, preserving spiritual values, the importance of unity and solidarity, and Muslims’ social responsibilities.
Meeting with Mufti Mustafa Trampa
After the mosque program, Cevat Akşit, Mustafa Şentop, Dr. Mehmet Sıddık Akşit and the delegation visited the İskeçe Mufti’s Office and met with Mufti Mustafa Trampa.
The meeting included an exchange of views on religious services and educational activities, as well as the national and spiritual values of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and issues concerning community life.
Mufti Trampa thanked Prof. Dr. Cevat Akşit, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şentop, Dr. Mehmet Sıddık Akşit and the accompanying delegation for their visit.
The delegation left Western Thrace following the visit to the İskeçe Mufti’s Office.
