MP Ferhat celebrates 1 May Labour and Solidarity Day
New Left Party Rodopi MP Özgür Ferhat participated in the celebration ceremony of the 1 May Labour and Solidarity Day in Komotini.
Participating in the ceremony held in front of the monument next to the old prefecture building in Komotini and laying a wreath, Rodopi MP Özgür Ferhat stated that he stands by the workers and labourers.
In his statement to the press members at the ceremony regarding the meaning and importance of the day, he said, "The basic rights of workers and labourers are violated under difficult economic conditions day by day. We will not allow them to treat workers and labourers as slaves in the global system. Every human being should be able to work with dignity and honour and live humanely by getting the reward of the sweat of their brow. Happy 1 May Labour and Solidarity Day!"
