“Miracle Theatre” to stage Gulyabani in Edirne with Yeşilçam-inspired adaptation

The “Miracle Theatre” ensemble, operating under the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association (BTAYTD), is set to perform its latest production, Gulyabani, in Edirne.

The play will be staged on April 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Türkan Sabancı Cultural Center, hosted by Trakya University.

🎭 A Stage Adaptation Inspired by Yeşilçam Classics
Directed by Senemahu Topuz, Gulyabani draws inspiration from iconic Yeşilçam films such as Süt Kardeşler and Tosun Paşa, reimagining their humor and storytelling in a theatrical format.

The production blends nostalgia with live performance, aiming to recreate the spirit of classic Turkish cinema while offering a fresh stage experience.

🎟️ Cultural Event with Institutional Support
The event is organized with the support of Trakya University’s International Relations Research Center and its Department of Health, Culture and Sports, reflecting a broader effort to promote cultural activities on campus.

With strong audience interest expected, the performance is anticipated to be a highlight in Edirne’s cultural calendar, appealing to both theatre enthusiasts and fans of traditional Turkish cinema.
