On April 4–5–6, the Miracle Theater, operating under the umbrella of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association (WTMGA), delivered three stunning performances with three different plays to the people of Xanthi.

On April 4–5–6, the Miracle Theater, operating under the umbrella of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association (WTMGA), delivered three stunning performances with three different plays to the people of Xanthi.

Over the course of three days, theater lovers in Xanthi were treated to a rich cultural experience, filling the Xanthi Municipal Amphitheater to capacity each night. 

Under the direction of Senemahu Topuz, the theater groups made up of high school, middle school, and elementary students performed a different play each day.

WTMGA Miracle Theater’s Magnificent Opening Night – April 4

On Friday, April 4, the high school team staged “Fehim Pasha Mansion”, a classic by Turgut Özakman, adapted and directed by Senemahu Topuz, receiving a standing ovation.

WTMGA President Dr. Hüseyin Baltacı opened the event, followed by a greeting speech from Senemahu Topuz

The audience included Turkish Consul General in Komotini Aykut Ünal and his wife İlayda Ünal, Xanthi Mufti and Advisory Board Chairman Mustafa Trampa, and many prominent community leaders.

In his closing speech, Dr. Baltacı thanked the cast, technical team, and especially director Senemahu Topuz for her great efforts. The Consul General also congratulated all involved.

The student cast, including Zeynep Betül Ergen, Rasiye Şabanoğlu, Hüseyin Hacıibram, and many others, left a strong impression.

Appreciation plaques were awarded to sponsors Ed-DESIGNER, the Delioğlu family, and all supporting contributors.

WTMGA Miracle Theater Delivers Another Magical Night – April 5

On Saturday, April 5, the middle school group performed the comedy “Shakespeare? Child’s Play!”, written by Yonca İnal and directed again by Senemahu Topuz. With music by Ender Çalışkan and sound engineering by Gönen Molla, the play received full marks from the audience.

WTMGA President and Director Topuz both expressed their gratitude and shared the joy of working with 31 young actors. The event was attended by prominent figures and warmly received by all.

Director Yonca İnal praised the professionalism of the Miracle Theater team and the enthusiasm of the Xanthi audience.

The performance concluded with a ballet show by Berrak Delioğlu, adding a magical touch to the evening. Appreciation plaques were again awarded to the entire team and supporters.

The Little Miracles Stole Hearts – April 6

On Sunday, April 6, the elementary team took the stage with “Tangled Stories”, featuring four short plays: Cinderella, Pearls, Treasure, Inside Out, all written by the Miracle Theater’s youth scriptwriting team (Ayça Peçenik, Berrak Delioğlu, Zeynep Betül Ergen) and directed by Senemahu Topuz.

Once again, dignitaries including the Turkish Consul General Aykut Ünal and community leaders attended. In his speech, Dr. Baltacı thanked the writers, cast, technical team, and families.

Appreciation was extended to all sponsors, decorators, stylists, and backstage assistants. At the end of the performance, every little actor received a commemorative plaque for their efforts.

Standing Ovation Across Three Nights

Each night concluded with standing ovations, celebrating the passion and dedication of the young performers. Over three days, Miracle Theater delivered unforgettable moments and left the audience deeply moved.

Notable attendees throughout the performances included: Turkish Consul General of Komotini Aykut Ünal and his wife, Turkish Minority Advisory Board Chair & Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, FEP Party Leader Çiğdem Asafoğlu, Xanthi MP Burhan Baran, Mayor of Mustafçova Ahmet Kurt, President of the Turkish Union of Xanthi Ozan Ahmetoğlu, among many other guests and art lovers.
