Mayors met at the Martyr Mustafa Cambaz Fountain

Bursa Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar held contacts in Western Thrace at the weekend and examined the fountain built in Filira (Sirkeli) square with the sister municipality of Arriana (Kozlukebir).

The construction of the fountain, which was planned to be built in Filira (Sirkeli) village by sister Osmangazi and Arriana (Kozlukebir) municipalities, but due to different reasons and procedures, took quite a long time.

The fountain, the construction of which was completed in the square of the village of Filira (Sirkeli) and its surroundings were renewed, gave the village a beautiful appearance.

The fountain, whose construction was completed in the last months, was named martyr Journalist Mustafa Cambaz. He was born and grew up in the village of Menenler. He was a native of the region, and he was martyred in the coup attempt by FETO members in Turkey. The fountain was built in his memory.

Bursa Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dundar, visited Western Thrace last weekend and participate to the opening of the fountain. Dundar also had meeting with Ariana (Kozlukebir) Mayor Rıdvan Ahmet and Deputy Mayor İbrahim Şerif.

After the visit, the mayors of both municipalities took a souvenir photo together in front of the fountain.

Both mayors during the visit to the region, chatted with their cognates in a cafe in Filira (Sirkeli) village, visited the open shops and had a chat with the shopkeepers.
