Kadir Yunusoğlu, former president of İskeçe Turkish Union and BTTÖB, passed away
Kadir Yunusoğlu, one of the former presidents of İskeçe (Xanthi) Turkish Union and Western Thrace Turkish Teachers' Union, passed away on Tuesday, January 24.
The Western Thrace Turkish Teachers' Union, of which he is a member, announced the death of retired teacher Kadir Yunusoğlu, with a statement of his death and condolences.
Yunusoğlu started his teaching career at Karaköy Turkish Primary School in İskeçe (Xanthi) in 1961.
He chaired the İskeçe (Xanthi) Turkish Union for 8 years. Yunusoğlu served as a manager for a total of 8 years, including two years as the chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers' Union.
Kadir Yunusoğlu, one of the founding members of the Independent İKBAL list, was nominated for an independent deputy in İskeçe (Xanthi) three times.
Yunusoğlu was one of those seriously injured in the January 29, 1990 vandalism incidents.
On the other hand, the board of the Xanthi Turkish Union has also issued a condolence message for the death of Kadir Yunusoğlu.
The funeral prayer of Kadir Yunusoğlu, who passed away at the age of 84, will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at the Çınar Mosque in İskeçe (Xanthi), after the afternoon (asr) prayer.
It was stated that Yunusoğlu will be buried in Karacanlar village cemetery.
