Hatim Ceremony in Hebilköy
Hatim Ceremony was held in Hebilköy, of the municipality of Kozlukebir. Hundreds of cognates from the region attended the ceremony.
A large number of cognates attended the Hatim Ceremony on 3rd June Saturday, attended by a total of 15 students, 11 girls and 4 boys, studying in the Qur'an Course in the village.
The students presented the hatim program prepared by their teacher Ali Mahmut Paşa and Hasan Pazlak, who is the principal of Hebilköy Minority Primary School.
Students sang hymns, presented sketches on religious subjects, and recited prayer surahs from the Qur’an.
After the presentations of the children, the Hatim Prayer was made by one of the students, Ahmet Pazlak.
After the prayer, Hebilkoy Quran Course Teacher Ali Mahmut Pasha gave a speech of thanks.
On behalf of his students and parents Mahmut Pasha thanked the protocol members and all participants who did not leave the students alone on the meaningful day.
Later, Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet, who attended the ceremony representing the Elected Mufti of Komotini, gave a speech.
Fehim Ahmet congratulated the students and thanked the families and teachers.
Following his speech, Fehim Ahmet conveyed important information to the participants about the training given in the Qur'an courses operating within the mufti.
After his speech, Fehim Ahmet gave plaques and participation certificates to the students on behalf of the mufti.
Students were also given gifts by the Western Thrace Imam Hatip High School Graduates and Members Association and local politicians.
After the noon prayer, the program ended with the offering lunch to the compatriots who attended the ceremony.
