Gümülcine Municipality joins Erasmus+ "You Think City Links" project

Gümülcine Municipality has officially been approved to participate in the international "You Think City Links" (KA154-YOU) project, conducted under the Erasmus+ program. This initiative aims to foster youth cooperation and participatory governance.
The 24-month project seeks to enhance youth participation in shaping local policies and promoting participatory democracy. It will facilitate collaboration and the exchange of best practices among local, national, and international organizations.
Led by Gümülcine Municipality, the project also includes partners from Finland (SYSTEM & G FINLAND RY) and Lithuania (VIESOJI ISTAIGA NECTARUS).
Project Goals and Activities
- Encouraging youth involvement in local policymaking
- Strengthening participatory governance
- Developing innovative digital participation tools
- Establishing cooperation between youth organizations and local governments
- Hosting workshops, international meetings, and digital initiatives
With a total budget of €57,343, fully funded by Erasmus+, the project will not impose any additional costs on Gümülcine Municipality.
By spearheading digital engagement tools and fostering collaboration with other European cities, Gümülcine aims to play a leading role in enhancing participatory democracy, social cohesion, and youth engagement in the region.
