Free vehicle disinfection introduced on three routes in Kozlukebir

The new disinfection stations were set up by the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region on routes leading to the villages of Değirmendere, Kızılağaç and Üşekdere. The measure applies particularly to vehicles transporting animals, animal feed or milk.

According to a statement issued by Kozlukebir Municipality, the disinfection points were introduced in response to the increasing spread of infectious diseases affecting sheep and goats in the area.

The municipality said the measure aims to protect animal health and prevent the further spread of disease.

The designated disinfection stations will provide the service free of charge to vehicles using the three routes.

Municipality urges drivers to use disinfection points
Kozlukebir Municipality called on residents and other drivers using the designated routes to stop at the disinfection stations and have their vehicles disinfected.

The municipality emphasized that using the facilities is important for limiting the transmission of disease and protecting livestock health.

In its announcement, the municipality said free vehicle disinfection stations had been established on routes leading to Değirmendere, Kızılağaç and Üşekdere by the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region due to infectious diseases affecting small livestock in the area.

It urged residents using the designated routes to make use of the free disinfection service as part of efforts to protect animal health and prevent the spread of disease.
