Farmers to meet in Komotini square for their problems
Agricultural co-operatives, unions and associations in the agricultural sector in the EMT Region will join together to organise a protest march and demonstration to raise the issue of unpaid contributions and other problems.
The farmers will come together with their tractors at the Radio Station in Komotini at 10.30 in the morning on Saturday 9 December. The farmers will then move from there in a convoy with their tractors and meet at the town square at 12.00 pm.
In the town square of Komotini, the heads and leaders of the non-governmental organisations active in the agricultural sector will make speeches and try to make the problems, wishes and demands of the farmers heard by the Ministry of Agriculture and other government officials.
In the joint statement made by agricultural NGOs regarding the protest march and demonstration to be held on Saturday, which will be supported and attended by the Thrace Tobacco Producers Cooperative, the following was stated
