Thrace tobacco producers’ cooperative urges farmers to complete agricultural declarations
In a statement, the cooperative said completing the declarations as soon as possible would be in producers’ interests and could also facilitate access to programs designed to provide additional economic support.
The cooperative said it continues to work on measures aimed at increasing producers’ incomes. Under this year’s compost program, it expects farmers to receive an economic contribution of up to €12 per decare.
The cost of participating in the compost program is €2.70 per decare, according to the cooperative. The fee also includes soil analysis.
Soil analysis required for compost program
The cooperative reminded producers that a field analysis is required to participate in the compost program.
It said completing the compost-related procedures as part of the agricultural declaration process could provide an additional economic benefit to producers.
The cooperative encouraged farmers who have not yet completed their agricultural declarations to finalize the process without waiting until the deadline.
