Eastern Macedonia and Thrace participates in Food & Drinks 2024 Fair
The Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (DMT) Regional Authority showcased regional food and beverage products at the Food & Drinks 2024 Fair held in Thessaloniki from November 1-3. This fair, a continuation of the previous DETROP International Food and Drink Fair, provided a platform for prominent EMT-based companies to participate, both through the regional stand and individually.
The fair was inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Kostas Tsiaras, with Dr. Theodoros Markopoulos, Deputy Governor of Kavala, representing EMT at the opening and delivering a speech. General Director of Agricultural Economy and Veterinary Services Sotiris Papadopoulos also attended.
EMT Regional Governor Hristodoulos Topsidis expressed confidence in the region’s food and beverage products, noting, "Participating in fairs that promote our products is essential. We have full confidence in the quality and competitiveness of our products in both Greek and international markets. Our efforts will intensify to support producers, both in primary production and processing, ensuring their presence in the food, wine, and beverage sectors."
Deputy Governor Markopoulos also emphasized the commitment to ensuring quality certification and strengthening ties between products and their regions, stating that EMT products have the potential to secure a stronger position in broader markets.
