Dep. Minister Kontogeorgis: Government cooperation continues for Evros development plans
Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Thanassis Kontogeorgis stated that cooperation between the central government, regional authorities and municipalities is ongoing to implement local development plans for each area of Evros.
The announcement was made following the meeting of the Special Committee for the Reconstruction of Evros on Monday. During the session, Kontogeorgis presented the progress of the Reconstruction and Development Plan for the region, valued at over 2.83 billion euros. The plan includes major infrastructure projects, the "Evros Meta” (Evros After) initiatives and 19+ policy measures announced in Orestiada in the presence of the Prime Minister on October 3, 2024.
Kontogeorgis emphasized that "the commitments of the Prime Minister and the government are being fully implemented. The swift execution of the plan requires the cooperation of all regional stakeholders, which remains both substantial and sincere, for the benefit of the area."
