Consultation meeting with lawyer Çavuşoğlu

The temporary board members of the Rhodope Province Turkish Women's Cultural Association (RİTKKKD) were informed about the judicial process by lawyer İlker Çavuşoğlu, who represents the association before the Supreme Court.
At the meeting where RİTKKD founding members Hülya Emin and Ayşe Galip took part, the last rejection decision of the Supreme Court regarding the association was evaluated. Çavuşoğlu drew attention to the existing flaws in the rejection decision of the Supreme Court.
At the meeting held on Monday, December 19th at the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association main office in Komotini, Çavuşoğlu also gave information about his study visit to Strasbourg in November.
Çavuşoğlu evaluated the recent decision of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, which recently expressed his concerns about the non-implementation of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights regarding minority associations.
Çavuşoğlu pointed out that the Committee's decision to send a letter to the Greek authorities, inviting them to rapidly take measures to ensure the full and effective implementation of the ECtHR judgments, is a positive development.
On the other hand, Hülya Emin and Ayşe Galip stated that they are following the case for the execution of the ECHR decision, which found that the establishment of the association was not registered unjustly in the national legal order, and stated that they were determined to resort to all democratic and legal methods for the association to become officially registered and recognized.
