Consul General Ömeroğlu’s visit to Turkish Minority village Pasevik
Murat Ömeroğlu, Consul General of Türkiye to Komotini, visited Pasevik, one of the Turkish Minority villages of Mustafçova (Miki) Municipality of Xanthi.
Turkish Consul General to Komotini, Murat Ömeroğlu, visited the Paşevik village of Xanthi (on Friday, 25 November). Ömeroğlu, who met with the people of the village there, also performed his last Friday prayer as Gener Consul in Komotini with the cognates in Pasevik.
In addition to Consul General Ömeroğlu, Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, Xanthi SYRIZA Party Deputy Hüseyin Zeybek, Mayor of Mustafçova (Miki) Rıdvan Delihüseyin, President of Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association Hüseyin Baltacı, President of Çınar Association Cengiz Ömer, President of Xanthi Turkish Union Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Hraloğlu, State Assembly Member Rıdvan Kurak, former Mayors of Mustafçova (Miki) Cemil Kabza and Mücahit Dükkancı and local administrators were also present during the Pasevik visit.
Addressing the Pasevik compatriots after the Friday prayer, Türkiye's Consul General to Komotini Murat Ömeroğlu stated that he will leave the region in the coming days and emphasized that he will always remember Western Thrace with its beauties and the close interest of the people. Ömeroğlu thanked Pasevik people for their hospitality.
Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, Deputy of SIRIZA Hüseyin Zeybek, Mayor of Mustafçova Rıdvan Delihüseyin and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Pasevik Salih Kahya wished Consul General Ömeroğlu success in his future duties.
Afterwards, the guests had lunch and chatted in the Pasevik foundation meeting room.
